Jan Byström focuses his practice on mergers & acquisitions and other corporate development transactions. His clients include Nordic and international private equity investors whom he advises on Nordic buy-out transactions, Nordic corporate clients whom he advises on Nordic and cross-border mergers & acquisitions, and United States’ corporate clients whom he advises on US-to-Nordic cross-border transactions. Prior to founding Byström Rooth & Partners, Jan Byström was a partner at Vinge and at Ashurst, both in Stockholm, and an associate with Davis Polk and Hunton and Williams, both in New York. Jan Byström began his career as an associate with Vinge in Stockholm. Mr. Byström is dually qualified in Sweden and New York.
Mats Rooth specialises in finance and restructurings advising Nordic and international private Equity investors and Nordic and international lenders on a wide variety of leveraged senior and mezzanine finance transactions, refinancings and restructurings. Prior to founding Byström Rooth & Partners, Mats Rooth was a partner at Ashurst, Stockholm and in-house legal counsel with SEB Merchant Banking, Stockholm. Mats Rooth began his career as an associate with Vinge in Stockholm.
Mathias Hansson focuses his practice on capital markets transactions, capital markets disclosure and regulatory matters. Mr. Hansson also provides investment funds advisory services.
Prior to joining Byström Rooth & Partners, Mathias Hansson was a partner at Wistrand and Ashurst, and an associate with Ashurst, Clyde & Co and Norton Rose in London. Mr. Hansson is dually qualified in Sweden and England & Wales.
